The Foundation Ocalenie has been working for years in places where there are people fleeing to Poland from war and persecution and where support is needed. They have been there since the beginning of the crisis, because they believe that a safe border is a border where no one dies. They are active on the border with Ukraine, where they provide support to people detained in guarded centres. They monitor the situation, provide humanitarian and legal assistance to refugees, publicise the issue and lobby. In Warsaw and several other Polish cities they teach Polish, provide psychological and legal assistance, help refugee children find their way in Polish schools. They look for housing, jobs, schools and kindergartens together. There are more and more needs and challenges!
